Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: Breeze Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: Warm Sea Temperature: Cool Weather: Almost sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Well - It's been a windy weekend, but I wanted to sail the estuary, and the
tide was high late last night, just as it started pouring with rain,
causing the wind to drop.
So Sarah and I decided we would sail today at 4pm.
Got down to the estuary and it was quite windy so we rigged a 5.0 and a
5.7.
We got down to the water and the wind was dropping, we decided to sail out
toward Aberdovey where the wind would come through the gap. It was windier
there, but still not very strong.
So we spent a couple of hours doing flare gybes (Fisky calls them twirly
turns) and heli-tacks, all light wind messing about. At least it was
warm.
A bit lacking in excitement, but we were both pleased that we were banging
in flare gybes, (haven't done that for a while).
